The Evening Lectures series of the Mauthausen Memorial (since 2023) is a platform for researchers to present their findings and discuss them with the public. It takes place on several evenings throughout the year.

Greek Prisoners in the Concentration Camp System
Iason Chandrinos wrote his postdoctoral thesis at the Department of European History (19th and 20th Centuries) at the University of Regensburg on the topic of ‘Greek Concentration Camp Prisoners and Forced Labourers 1941–1945. An Unknown National Victim Group during the Nazi Era’. For the publication planned as part of the Mauthausen-Studien series, Iason Chandrinos is adapting his study and supplementing it with additional source research on Greeks in the concentration camp system, with a particular focus on Greek prisoners in the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp system. He presents the findings of his research in Vienna in March.

Großonkel Pauls Geigenbogen: Die Familiengeschichte eines preußischen Sinto (Great Uncle Paul’s Violin Bow: The Family Story of a Prussian Sinto)
Romeo Franz was the first Sinto to be elected to the European Parliament, serving as an MEP from 2018 to 2024. In the book Großonkel Pauls Geigenbogen (Great Uncle Paul’s Violin Bow), the musician and author Alexandra Senfft tell the story of his family’s life from the end of the 19th century to the present day.
Alexandra Senfft is an author, 2nd chairperson of the Study Group on Intergenerational Consequences of the Holocaust (PAKH), a member of the presidium of the Dachau Camp Community and a member of PEN Berlin.
